Jack-o'-lantern leaves fall and Trick-or-treaters hide, as Black Friday Christmas carols push them aside.

It’s always busy in Lambertville during the month of October. This year was no exception. Below is by no means all of the events that happened, but it is some.

Note Worthy Wedding

On October 4th, musicians performed music on porches all over town as part of the annual Lambertville Porchfest, which is organized by Soupçon Salon.

The weather was perfect for music—or for a wedding! Math and Sean were married at a public ceremony in Mary E. Sheridan park. It was fitting that they celebrated at Porchfest, because the couple met at a Soupçon Salon event.

Raise the Woof

The weather was perfect for two and four legged friends to gather and show off costumes at the bone-chilling Howl-o-ween fundraiser in Mary E. Sheridan park.

This annual charitable event helps raise money to support SoCo Rescue and the Pet Pantry at Fisherman’s Mark. If you’ve never attended, you’re missing out.

No Reign on the Parade

On October 18th, thousands of people gathered in Lambertville to protest the Trump administration’s authoritarian tactics at the Lambertville No Kings rally.

Protesters marched peacefully through town, along the Central Business District, and then across the bridge into New Hope to hear guest speakers.

Monster March

On October 26th, monsters, ghouls, ghosts, witches, aliens, and more gathered at Mary E. Sheridan park for the annual Lambertville Family Halloween Parade.

Participants admired each other’s costumes before they paraded down North Union Street and over to Ely Field to enjoy autumn snacks and play fun games.

Fast and Fabulous

Also on October 26th, in New Hope, was the 21st annual High Heel Drag Race.

Contestants wore high heels and raced up and down Mechanic Street while carrying a pumpkin that they had to decorate at the top of the hill.

Running Through Town

On October 29th, the candidate for Deputy Governor, Dr. Dale Caldwell, visited Lambertville to chat with local businesses and anyone who stopped to say hello.

Dr. Caldwell visited several shops on Bridge Street including Lambertville Trading Company, Sandy’s Scoops, Foxy Red’s, and Giuseppe’s Ristorante.

Building Character

Residents continue to tolerate the noisy construction on North Union Street.

Hopefully this much-needed project will be completed soon.

Halloween in Lambertville: 2025

On October 31st, thousands of people flocked to Lambertville to celebrate Halloween, which fell on a Friday this year and made it feel extra-festive.

There was fear of wind and rain, but the bad weather passed through town the day before so that trick-or-treaters of all ages could enjoy Halloween in 2025.

Falling Back

The month ended with us changing our clocks. Too bad we can’t turn back time to enjoy a second round of orange autumn bliss in Lambertville, New Jersey.

October sunset

Now that another October has come and gone, Christmas carols will play, it’ll be dark at 5pm, and the possibility of a frosty snowfall is right around the corner.
