Thousands gathered in Lambertville, NJ and New Hope, PA over the weekend to celebrate Pride in an annual festival that is organized by New Hope Celebrates.

The theme for 2025 was, “Together, We Rise! – Defying Fear, Embracing Hope.”

Progress Pride Flag Unfurling

Every year, the Pride celebration begins with the unfurling of a 25'x15' Progress Pride Flag on the corner of Bridge and Main Streets in New Hope, PA.

This year’s flag unfurling took place on Saturday, May 10th at 11:30am.

A group of people gathered across the street to cheer and take photos as the Progress Pride flag and American flag were draped from the Starbucks building’s balcony. It’s a very visible location to display such well-known symbols of freedom and independence, which is what Pride is all about.

The Progress Pride Flag stayed up all week, bringing awareness to the celebration’s activities while also highlighting the area’s rich LGBTQ+ history.

Pride 2025 lasted from May 10 through May 18, and each day was filled with events and activities that occurred in New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ.

Happenings included live music, drag performances, a cocktail contest, plant pot painting, dance parties, gay bingo, social events, mixers, pool parties, historic presentations, afternoon tea, and of course the annual parade and fair.

Dance and Be Merry

The Love is Love Gala was held on Thursday, May 15th at River House at Odette’s. The event featured live painting, an art auction, and dancing.

Former Miss New Hope Celebrates, Diva Divine Monroe, hosted the event and performed. Miss New Hope Celebrates 2025, Asia Leigh Monroe, was also there.

2025 Pride Parade

It rained early in the morning on Saturday, May 17th, but the sun came out and cleared the way for the 2025 Annual New Hope / Lambertville Pride Parade.

The procession began at City Hall in Lambertville, traveled south down Union Street to Bridge Street where it turned right, and then it marched across the bridge to New Hope, where it turned left to travel down Main Street.

At the end of the Pride Parade, marching bands dispersed and parade people entered the annual outdoor fair to visit tented vendors and watch live performances that happened on the large outdoor stage.

Pride 2025 set the tone for people to come together to celebrate visibility, diversity, and the power of standing proudly as one. The annual Pride celebration honors the people who made (and make) the New Hope / Lambertville area the safe, inclusive, and artistic community that it is.

In a time when our rights are under renewed attack, being out and proud isn't just a form of personal expression—it’s a powerful act of resistance, which serves as a beacon of hopeful freedom for those who are still finding their way.
