Bridge Street Burgers opens in Lambertville on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. It will be located at 23 Bridge Street, where Full Moon Cafe used to be.

Bridge Street Burgers is owned by Justin Vitella (who owns The Hawk) and Joe Crozier. Crozier has been working in the industry since high school, and he’s happy to bring his knowledge and experience to this new restaurant.

You may recognize Crozier from Hash House, which he sold, because he wanted to do something different. When Vitella reached out to him about this space, they thought about it, and came up with the Bridge Street Burgers concept.

“A burger spot just made sense for this location,” said Crozier, who felt that Lambertville was in need of something quick and casual.

Vitella, who is also a general contractor, had the vision and skill to shape the interior. Meanwhile, Crozier put together the working pieces, which included naming all of the burgers after Lambertville streets.

The Bridge Street—their mainstay—features Cooper sharp, pickles, onions, and BSB sauce. The Swan Street has Swiss, mushroom, caramelized onion, and mayo. The Coryell is made with Bleu cheese, onion rings, bacon, and bbq sauce.

The Union Street burger, which was the first burger Crozier named, contains Cooper sharp cheese, porkroll, fried egg, salt, pepper, and ketchup. It was conceived to be a breakfast burger inspired by Crozier’s previous venture, which was located on Union Street (and is still there under new ownership).

Bridge Street Burgers makes American smash burgers, cheese steaks, wings, and sandwiches. Sides include flavored fries, onion rings, and fried pickles.

Desserts are warm chocolate chip cookies, funnel cake fries, doughnuts, and milk shakes. They also offer gluten-free options and black bean burgers.

“Everything we’re doing is local—from the food to the artists,” Crozier said.

Inside looks like a standard burger joint, yet it feels classy. Everything is brand new. The beautifully hand-crafted tables and flooring smell of fresh cut wood.

Artist Hope Gaburo painted the wall mural, which depicts an iconic view of the Lambertville - New Hope Bridge. Two large menus glow behind the counter, above where Crozier said local people and recognizable faces will work.

There are around 25 seats in the restaurant, but Bridge Street Burgers expects a good amount of their business will be made up of take-out orders.

“This is a casual and quick service restaurant. You order and it gets made right there. The food is affordable, with a burger, fries, and a beverage costing around $20,” Crozier explained.

“It’s an elevated fast food restaurant that will bring good, honest food to town.”
